PIONEER SQUARE SPRING CLEAN

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

April 8th 9:00am to 12:00pm
Spring Clean is at our doorstep once again! Grab a co-worker, a neighbor, or that delinquent nephew and join us as we spruce up the neighborhood. Pull on those old college painting pants and get on with some graffiti abatement. Don grandpa’s dirty overalls and start yanking weeds. Whatever shabby old working clothes you have will do the trick. If you don’t have any, T-shirts will be provided along with coffee and snacks to get you pumped for the day.

RETAIL NEWS

  • Non-Breaking Space, a new gallery at 532 1st Ave S, is open and will be part of the March First Thursday Art Walk.
  • Did you hear that E. Smith Mercantile is expanding their bar into the space formerly occupied by Arundel Books off Occidental Park?
  • Zopalo, a restaurant focusing on food found in Mexico City, plans to open in 200 Occidental this spring.
  • The Halal Guys also plan to be open later this spring in their space on Yesler Way next to the Pioneer Passage alley.
  • The former Faerie Queene is now Pittsburgh Lunch & Superette, a mini grocery store at 90 Yesler Way serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, and drinks. (The history of the name is a great story, so check out the website!)
  • The buildout of Dead Line, a cocktail bar and kitchen, continues at 114 1st Ave S. Stay tuned for details as they unfold.
  • How are those New Year Resolutions coming? You might want to checkout the newest fitness biz in Pioneer Square, Cue Crossfit at 901 1st Ave S.
