Highlights for Friday, Aug. 24 – Tuesday, Sept. 4
Corridor-wide:
- Viaduct reinforcement work will close all lanes of southbound SR 99 between the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel and the West Seattle Bridge at the following times:
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Sunday, Aug. 26 – the morning of Friday, Aug. 31.
- 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Tuesday, Sept. 4 – the morning of Friday, Sept. 7.
North:
Saturday, Aug. 25
- The Seattle Marathon and 10K run will close northbound SR 99 between Western Avenue and Boston Street from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Monday, Aug. 27
- Sixth Avenue North will be closed between Harrison and Republican streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 27 through Friday, Aug. 31
- John Street will be closed between Sixth Avenue North and Taylor Avenue North from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Monday, Aug. 27 through Friday, Aug. 31
- Parking on the west side of Sixth Avenue North between Thomas and John streets will be closed from 6a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Central:
- The south parking lane of Columbia Street between Western Avenue and Alaskan Way will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 through Friday, Aug. 31 daily.
- The west sidewalk of Alaskan Way between Main Street and Yesler Way will close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 through Wednesday, Aug. 29.
- The east parking lane on Second Avenue between Marion Street and Columbia Street will be closed around-the-clock Wednesday, Aug. 29 through Friday, Aug. 31 daily.
- Marion Street will be reduced to one open lane between Western Avenue and First Avenue from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 through Thursday, Aug. 30 nightly.
- Crews will close the southbound parking lane on Western Avenue between Marion and Columbia streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 and Friday, Aug. 31.
South:
- East Marginal Way South between South Hanford Street and South Atlantic Street will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29 through Friday, Aug. 31 nightly. Both directions of South Atlantic Street between East Marginal Way South and Colorado Avenue South also will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
