World Cup 2026

World Cup 2026 brought record foot traffic and more than half a million people to the neighborhood in June and July. Fans continued to come to Pioneer Square even after the last match in Seattle with thousands gathering for watch parties in Occidental Square and local venues showing the matches.

People came to enjoy World Cup in Pioneer Square using every form of public transportation. The scale of the neighborhood makes it friendly for transit riders, pedestrians and those using scooters and bikes.

What they found was a variety of small businesses offering something that you can’t find anywhere else in the city. It is only in Pioneer Square that you can sample such a wide variety of food and drink options, find the most unique retail stores, and enjoy our concentration of art galleries.

Pioneer Square welcomed the world and the world embraced Seattle’s original neighborhood. Help to keep that spirit of community alive by coming back to enjoy all that Pioneer Square has to offer.
