Highlights for Friday, Aug. 3 – Monday, Aug. 13
Corridor-wide:
- Viaduct reinforcement work will require overnight closures of all lanes of southbound SR 99 between the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel and the West Seattle Bridge.
Nighttime southbound SR 99 closure details through Aug. 17:
- Sunday, Aug. 5 and Wednesday, Aug. 8 – the morning of Friday, Aug. 10 – The southbound SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed from the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel to the West Seattle Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday; and again Wednesday night through Friday morning.
- Sunday, Aug. 12 – the morning of Friday, Aug. 17 – The southbound SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed from the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel to the West Seattle Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday.
North:
Through late August:
- The right lane of southbound SR 99 is closed around-the-clock from Republican to Harrison streets. Access to and from southbound SR 99 is closed from Republican and Harrison streets.
Monday, Aug. 6 through Wednesday, Aug. 8.
- Sixth Avenue North will be closed between John and Thomas streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local access will be maintained using Thomas Street.
- Thomas Street will be closed between Sixth Avenue North and Taylor Avenue North from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 9 through the morning of Friday, Aug. 9
- Sixth Avenue North will be closed between Harrison and Thomas streets from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Local access will be maintained using Thomas Street.
Thursday, Aug. 9 through the morning of Saturday, Aug. 11.
- John Street will be closed between Sixth Avenue North and Taylor Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Central:
- The southbound roadway under the viaduct will be closed nightly from Marion Street to Yesler Way, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 through the morning of Friday, Aug. 10.
