Highlights for Monday, June 25 – Sunday, July 1
Corridor-wide:
- The southbound SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct will close between the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel and the West Seattle Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Tuesday through Thursday for viaduct reinforcement work.
- The southbound SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct will close between the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel and the West Seattle Bridge from 11 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Sunday.
North end:
- Sixth Avenue North will close between Thomas Street and Harrison Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for utility work. Local access will be maintained via Harrison Street.
- Southbound SR 99 will be reduced to one lane between Roy and John streets from 7 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday.
- The southbound SR 99 exit to Denny Way will close from 7 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday.
- Beginning Tuesday, June 26 at 5 a.m., the right lane of southbound SR 99 will close around the clock between Republican and John streets for utility work. Access to and from southbound SR 99 will be closed from Republican, Harrison, Thomas and John streets.
Central waterfront:
- The lanes adjacent to bus stop islands will close on Alaskan Way and in the ferry holding area between Madison and Columbia streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday while crews install hand-rails at the bus stops.
South end:
- East Marginal Way South will close between South Atlantic and South Hanford streets from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Thursday and Friday while crews pour concrete on the new northbound SR 99 bridge deck over South Atlantic Street. Local access will be maintained.
- South Atlantic Street will be closed west of Colorado Avenue South from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Thursday and Friday.
