Through a community-led effort, the Alliance for Pioneer Square is excited to launch a permanent mural project this fall! A beautiful, original work of art will be painted under the Yesler Bridge on the west side of 4th Ave
Stephan Smith is the artist that was chosen by community members for the project. He is a member of the Quinault tribe of Washington and is an established aerosol artist who likes to paint abstract designs with textured realism. The project is expected to begin the first week of October.
There will be an opportunity for volunteers to take part in the painting shortly after the project gets underway.
This project is made possible by funding from Historic South Downtown.
Community Paint Day
Please join Stephan Smith, Alliance for Pioneer Square staff, and Pioneer Square neighbors in bringing the artist’s design to life! Volunteers may drop by throughout the day to take part in painting the mural under the artist’s direction. Those who participate will receive a special gift from the artist!
Date: October 16, 2021
Time: Please come by any time between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Location: Volunteers will meet at the project site
