Highlights for Friday, Oct. 5 – Monday, Oct. 15

Corridor-wide:
- The semi-annual viaduct maintenance closure will close both directions of the Alaskan Way Viaduct from just north of the Battery Street Tunnel to the West Seattle Bridge around-the-clock from 6 a.m. Saturday through 4 p.m. Sunday.
- SR 99 Aurora Bridge seismic retrofit work will reduce traffic across the bridge to one lane in each direction from 9 p.m. Friday through 2 p.m. Sunday. Beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, crews will open more lanes to accommodate traffic heading to and from the Sounders match at CenturyLink Field.
North:
Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9
- John Street will be closed between Sixth Avenue North and Taylor Avenue North from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Additionally, flaggers will alternate traffic in the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and John Street.
Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12
- Flaggers will alternate traffic on Sixth Avenue North between John Street and Denny Way from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Central:
Saturday, Oct. 6
- Seattle City Light crews will close one southbound lane on First Avenue between Columbia and Cherry streets from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12
- The left lane of Madison Street between First and Post avenues will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Monday, Oct. 8, through the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 9
- The right lane of Marion Street between Western and Post avenues will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 9, through the morning of Friday, Oct. 12
- The left lane of Marion Street between Western and Post avenues will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
- First Avenue South will be closed between South King Street and Railroad Way South from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
