STREET TREE MANAGEMENT PLANSDOT NEEDS YOUR INPUTSeattle Department of Transportation Urban Forestry Section is soliciting feedback through a survey and would like you to share your thoughts. They would like to engage with communities and continue creating and maintaining clean, healthy, resilient, and safe environments.
The Seattle Tree Management Plan (STMP) aims to improve the condition of SDOT maintained street trees by the end of 2024 in a more comprehensive way. Through effective inventorying, maintenance, replacement, and community involvement they hope to ensure the health, preservation, and expansion of Seattle’s urban forest.

METRO BUS FARES SURVEYMETRO SEEKS PUBLIC INPUTToday, Metro customers are faced with a complex fare structure, including a surcharge during peak commute hours and another surcharge for trips that cross a zone boundary during those same peak hours. Metro and partner agencies that use ORCA farecards are looking for ways to simplify fares in preparation for modernizing ORCA technology. they’re also exploring ways to speed up boarding, improve driver safety, help increase ridership, and help reduce barriers to using transit for vulnerable populations. Thursday, April 6 The Suquamish and their ancestors have inhabited the Puget Sound area for thousands of years, including the area where Pioneer Square stands today. Join Leonard Forsman, Chairman of the Suquamish Tribe and Vice Chair of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, as he discusses the Treaty era history of Pioneer Square, focusing on Chief Seattle’s famous speech.
After the talk, be sure to leave enough time to explore the rest of the First Thursday Art Walk in Pioneer Square. Free parking is available for First Thursday art walk patrons in Pioneer Square.  FIND IT, FIX IT!Have you seen an issue in the neighborhood, but didn’t know how to report it to get it taken care of? ” Find It, Fix It” is a smartphone app offering mobile users one more way to report selected issues to the City of Seattle. Reporting an issue is as easy as snapping a photo with your smartphone, adding detailed information, and hitting submit. Help us keep our neighborhood a clean and well maintained. Be on the look out to report graffiti, potholes,street lights out, abandoned cars and other issues through the Find it, Fix it app, online or call 206-684-7587. If graffiti shows up on your property, make a police report by calling 206-625-5011.
