BROADWAY SEGMENT – CONSTRUCTION DETAIL

Night and Weekend Intersection Closures at Broadway and Madison

Weekday Work:

• Denny to Howell
  • o Street restoration
• Pine to Madison
  • o Trackway construction

• Columbia intersection

• o Steam vault modifications
• o Pavement restoration
• Cherry intersection
  • o Traffic signal controls installation
• Jefferson intersection
  • o Storm drain installation

Weeknight Work:

• Madison intersection
  • o Storm drain installation
• Weller to Pike
  • o Rail distribution

Weekend Work:

• Madison intersection
  • o Storm drain installation

Traffic Advisory:

• The intersection of Broadway and Madison will be closed on weekends until November 4^th.
• Broadway will be closed between Madison and Marion from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for up to two weeks beginning October 1^st. There will be a signed detour

Work Hours:

• Weekdays  7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Weeknights  8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• Saturday  7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Sunday  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

14^TH/YESLER SEGMENT – CONSTRUCTION DETAIL

Water Main, Sewer & Electrical Installations

Weekday Work:

• Broadway at Alder
  • o Electrical duct bank installation
• Yesler – Broadway to Boren
  • o Water main installation
• Yesler at 12^th
  • o Sewer installation
• Yesler at 14^th
  • o Traffic signal work
• Jackson – 8^th to 10^th
  • o Water main installation

Work Hours:

• Weekdays – 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

 

JACKSON SEGMENT – CONSTRUCTION DETAIL

Water Main, Storm Drain, and Electrical Duct Bank Installation

Weekday Work:

• Electrical duct bank installation between 1^st and 2^nd   
• Water main installation between 6^th and 7^th
• Water main installation between 8^th and 10^th

Weekend Work:

• Electrical duct bank and vault installation between 1^st and 2^nd
• Water main installation between 5^th   and  6^th
• Storm drain installation at 8^th Avenue intersection
• Work Hours:
• Weekdays 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Weekend 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Note on Water Main Shutoffs:

October 6^th – 7^th will begin the first of three weekend water shutoffs in October for the Chinatown/International District. The shutoffs will begin at 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays and continue until 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. If your building will be affected you will receive a notice directly from Seattle Public Utilities at least 72 hours in advance.
